We will be utilizing unstable surfaces such as various sizes of stability balls, discs and foam rollers, in addition to pure matwork to challenge our core muscles to the maximum. This workout is ideal for clients who wish to build on their current pilates experience and progress to the next level.
An energetic mat routine, which focuses on strength, flexibility, balance and coordination. We will be utilizing a variety of prop combinations to add balance, weight and resistance to our mat pilates practice. This workout is ideal for clients who wish to increase strength and stamina in preparation for their winter/spring outdoor activities.
A mat and stability ball routine, which modifies the pilates method of fundamental exercises to suit individual goals and conditions. This class teaches the pilates principles, good exercise form and improves body awareness. It focuses on improving balance, coordination, strength and flexibility. This workout is ideal for clients with special health conditions and those recovering from injury or surgery.
A mat and stability ball routine, which modifies the pilates method of fundamental exercises, to provide a safe and effective program for clients with osteoporosis, osteopenia, or those who want to be pro active in maintaining healthy bone density and function. This program teaches the pilates principles, good exercise form and improves body awareness. Shibashi is a form of Moving Qigong consisting of 18 healing movements. It can be practiced indoors or outdoors, in sitting or in standing. It is a slow and gentle, mindful movement sequence, which is both very effective and easy to learn. This "moving meditation" is appropriate for all ages, fitness levels and ability.
